When are the meetings?
General membership meetings are open to all and occur bi-monthly, on the fourth Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October and December. Meetings begin with networking from 8:00 - 8:30 am, and then followed by a 90 minute business meeting.

Where can if find out who the speaker is for the meeting?
Who do I contact if I have an idea for a speaker or I would like to speak to the general membership?

Do I have to belong to attend a meeting?
No.
Who can attend the meetings?
Any service provider or individual committed to enhancing the quality of life for older adults within the St. Louis metropolitan area through education, advocacy, networking and resource sharing.
How many typically attend the meetings?
Breakthrough’s membership includes more than 400 private/governmental agencies and individuals. Typically we have 125 at each meeting.
What should I bring?
Business cards for networking. Brochures and announcements can be displayed on the Marketing table for everyone to review. PLEASE PICK UP YOUR LEFTOVER MATERIALS ALL LEFTOVERS WILL BE RECYCELED. Thank you!
Do I have to RSVP to attend a meeting?
No. But please check in at the New Member table so we can put you on our mailing list.
May I bring a guest to a meeting?
Absolutely!
Are there any membership dues?
No.
How can I get involved in Breakthrough Coalition?
There are three committees: Education, Advocacy/Communications and Networking
What are the requirements to remain active in Breakthrough Coalition?

To attend meetings: None

To participate in a committee: Regularly attend committee meetings

To be eligible to vote: Attend at least 3 meetings in a calendar year.

To be eligible to be a Member-at-Large on the Steering Committee: Attend at least 3 in a calendar year.

To be elected as a Board Member on the Steering Committee: A current member of the Steering Committee.
