About Us

Breakthrough Coalition is a membership organization comprised of service providers and individuals committed to enhancing the quality of life for older adults within the St. Louis metropolitan area through education, advocacy, networking and resource sharing.

Breakthrough Coalition has a rich 25 year history of enhancing the lives of older adults. Formed in 1991, Breakthrough began with a handful of agencies working to simplify the “system” of care and support for older adults. Today, Breakthrough’s membership includes more than 400 private/governmental agencies and individuals focused on our mission.

Breakthrough Coalition continues to welcome new members. General membership meetings are open to all and occur bi-monthly, on the fourth Tuesday of February, April, June, August, October and December.  Meetings begin with networking from 8:30 am to 9:00 am, then followed by a 90 minute business meeting.  RSVP’s are not required. Meetings are held at The Heights Community Center, 8001 Dale Ave, St. Louis, MO 63117.

Committee meetings are held bi-monthly, January, March, May, July, September and November. Dates, times and location are based on each individual committee.  We look forward to meeting you and hope you will join us in our mission to serve our area’s older adults.
